DAY ELEVEN

I don't want to leave I don't want to leave I don't want to leave. Today we had school, and in the Biology class I noticed something I haven't noticed before. There was a poster in which says: WE NEED lysoSOME RESPECT. I found it funny. For  the Spanish class the students had a test, and I also did it. We had to write some sentences with some words there written. Most of those words are common for places like Spain and I didn't know the meaning...
For lunch I had turkey bacon wraps which were really good.
In the last mode the Argentinians didn't have class, instead of that we had the possibility of talking with students we never talked before. We shared opinions, thoughts, and talked about sports, weekends, school, etc. It was really interesting and fun.
After that our hosts joined us and we had some pizzas and watched a movie all together. The name of the movie was "Stand by me", it was excellent, a little bit sad but the messages could be easily interprerated.
The next plan was to go to Anna Senteno's house. We played Wii there, the name of the game was "Mario Karts", it was about choosing your avatar and run a race, I was always the last one :(
There's nothing else I can say about today, just that it was as fun as all the days before. I love being here.
DAY TEN!
This day was long and incredible. We went downtown again.
The first place we had been in was an interactive museum in which you could see from fairytale statues to different periods of history such as the NAZI movement. I spent the time there with Amy, Carola and Barbara. The first section we had been in was the submarine room, after that, a hallway took us to the room in which you could see statues and videos of the Second World War. The three girls were scared of passing through the hallway,  I wasn't because I knew if I was frightened, I would turn the museum all the way round. So, when we were walking through the hallway, some real sized people from the 1920s appeared on a screen and started to talk! It felt like travelling some years ago, but it was kinda scary.
When we got inside the scientific room, there was a computer in which you could see how you will look like in thirty or fifty years. The three girls took the test, I didn't, if you don't know the future, you have more reasons to live.

After the museum we went to the Planetarium. I heard everyone fall asleep, I didn't, I got hypnotized with the 3D fugures dancing above me, it was boring though, (sorry).

The last but not least place we had been was the Aquarium! It had been extraordinary amazing, I am an aquarian, I LOVE aquariums. I got suprised of all the fishes, they were so different one from each other, they could have different colors, sizes, and I felt some of them were smiling to me.

We had so much fun there, there was a jellyfish that couldn't find an escape because it was surrounded by water plants! It was so funny.

Another funny thing there, was that there were some penguin costumes and, with Amy and Agustin we put them on and took pictures with them, we looked ridiculous.

At night, I went with Kara to have some dinner, to a Mexican restaurant, and later our friends and their hosts came home and we had fun there.
PD: I am not going to translate the blog because in my family they know English and the translation is really bad, in any case, they know how to translate it.

DAY NINE!
Today we went dowtown!! The first place we had been at was the Navy Pier which was really nice, I got some souvenirs there and went to the candy store.

After that we got some free time and I went with Amy to some stores. We still can't believe we are in United States together. We went to Forever 21, Apple store to see some cases, Disney Store which was incredible. All my childhood I was looking forward to go to somewhere like that, now that I had been there just can't believe it. It felt like getting inside a fairytale, not kidding. I bought some presents for my little cousins, with Amy we were saying we would like to have babies so we could buy them those beautiful magic toys.

After going to Disney Store we went to Suaroski (yes, Suaroski) where Amy bought a stunning crystal pendant for her mother. I was surprised how happy is the people here, the mane that attended us was so nice that I asked him If I could take some pictures there, and he said yes!

As we didn't know the city well, it tooked us ten minutes to find somewhere good to have lunch, and we ended up going to Starbucks and eat a sandwich there. The funny thing was that during our way to the refference point where we had to meet, we saw a Starbucks next to there. Great.
After that we went to the boat! It was so cold and windy there, but the view was really beautiful, I got hypnotized by watching the dancing blue with green tones lake.

PD: mom and dad, it was me the one who take that picture, so you can see with me how wonderful the iphone is.

DAY EIGHT

Happy mother's day mom!! I love you <3
I got the iphone!!! So exciteddd!!
I also went to Forever 21 and got lots of cute things for a very low price!
After that we went to Jordan's aunt house which was soooo big, it had a cinema with automatic seats, a pool, a big garden and lots of food!! It had been amazing there. Later t went to the hounted house everyone was looking forward to go! I wasn't scared at first, but as the girls were really frightened I started          to worry about it. We went inside a wagon which was pulled by a tractor. Some people with really good costumes came from nowhere and TRIED to scare us. Anyway, it was fun.
After the hounted house, we went to a sleepover in Sara's house, we are having fun here with our new iphones! It's really fun because we all have different colors!
Here a picture ar Sarah's!

DIA OCHO!

Feliz dia mamii!

DAY SEVEN
A loooong day. We went to the city!! The first place we went was the Willis Tower. One of the tallest buildings all over the world. But I didn't like it! (sorry!) We were so high that I couldn't hear and the souvenirs were expensive so I couldn't get anything. I had to be honest.
After that we had free time and... guess what! I couldn't get anything!! Woohoo!! We hadn't enough time, and Amy needed to go to Sony to buy some earphones, and one of the hosts told us she knew where it was but actually she didn't! So we walked four blocks for nothing.
After that Agustin wanted to enter to Topshop or something like that, and Amy and me didn't wanted to go there! We were sooo angry with him! Next time, we are going by our own with some hosts. So, time was up, we saw everyone carrying bags, and Amy and me, carrying just our purses.
We were in such a bad humor in the trip from downtown to the stadium, but when we arrive, they were waiting for us with food, so we were smiling again. Here a picture!!

So then we had the football match! I didn't realize when it started so when I looked at the pitch I was like "oooh, the match had already begun".
SOMETHING GREAT HAPPENED THERE.
We, the Argentinians planned to do the "wave", like we raise our hands and make a wave with them. So we told the people what we were planning to do, and at first we were less, but we started doing it more and more times and we got half of the people doing it!! From our side up to the other side, on the left, all the crowd was doing it!! We had thousands of people doing what we begun!! It was unbelievably INCREDIBLE.
After the match we all went to my host's house!! We played "Sing it" on the Wii, so we were all singing High School Musical Songs, it was really fun. When all the people left Kara asked me if I was tired, and I answered I wasn't, so we continued singing after Tony, Kara's father asked her if she could fetch Mia from her big sister's house, and she took Roxy with her! She opened the window and Roxy was taking her head away taking some fresh air, she looked like a person.
When we were getting inside back, with Mia, I opened the door and Roxy was sitting in my sit! I sat next to her, and we shared the seat-belt, it was so fun. We started to sing, and I hold Roxy and made her dance, Kara filmed it. So this is were this day ends!! I think tomorrow I am getting my I-phone!! Wiii!!!

No compre nada ! Woohoo !

Wiii !

DAY SIX
School day!!
The first mode we didn't go with our host's class because we had a meeting with the Student's Council. It is what we call in Argentina "Pastoral", the students who are involved in the Student's Council do similar things as we do in Pastoral. They help the poor people over the U.S.A, make houses and give them food.
Then we had English, Spanish, Maths, Physics, Biology and Physiology.
When the last mode was over we had the football (or soccer) match! Argentina vs. U.S.A. It ended up 7-7.
After the football match we had the asado!! The guys from here LOVED it. They just said: "ooohhh this is soooo good". We told them now they have another reason to come to Argentina.
After the asado a an american football match was taking place but I didn't go because I had a stomachache so Teresa, Kara's mom, fetched me and I had a bath and fall asleep to have enough energy for tomorrow!

Argentina vs U.S.A.

DAY FIVE!
What a great day was today!! Had so much fun!!
First we had school, and as we have free lunch there we buy lots and lots of chocolates and skittles!! Mia, Kara's sister, told me she saw Amy and whispered to her: "Amy, galleita, galleita", asking for a cookie, she started to learn Spanish last year so she isn't very good at speaking in Spanish, but I have so much fun with her. Anyway, she got the cookie!!
At school we had Art, Religion, Spanish, Maths and Biology, in which we sang the Happy Birthday song to a guy whose birthday was today, I enjoy the Biology classes.
Luckily, the Argentinians skipped the last class because the school couch taught us how to play American Football for tomorrow's match! We are all surprised because of the people here, they are all friendly, you never get someone in bad humor, you really feel that people here want us to have a good time.
Here's a picture of yesterday's sightseeing.

After school Kara took Amy, Caro, Fico, Consu, Agustin, Toby and to the shopping mall!! I bought some things there, and I'm so happy I can use my own credit card, sign the tickets, and get what I want!! I got some clothes and accessories from Forever 21, a blue hoodie from I don't remember the name of the store where I got it,  and had some teriyaki chicken for dinner which was really good.
But the night doesn't end there!! After having dinner we all went to Maggie's house! We played air jockey, which is like and arcade game, ping pong, or just talk, it was fun.
I don't have much more to say about today, just how good I feel here, Chicago is a dream came true, I still can't believe I am in the United States.

DAY FOUR
In the morning we went dowtown!!! It wasn't even similar to what I was thinking. I just imagined a city like Buenos Aires maybe a little bit cleaner with more stores and parks but never such a wonderful place like that!!
It was so exotic. Fountains, bridges, museums, and tall, TALL skyscrapers. It was like a blooming wonderland place. We just walked and explore, and sometimes get interrupted by our uncles because they wanted to take us pictures... It was okay though.
First we went to the 3D art museum, which was really original and we just were looking with our eyes very open taking photos and photos.
Then we contemplate a kind of metallic sculpture called "the bean", in which we could see our faces turning into dancing shapes, it was like a mirror. We took a lot of pictures there and made goofy faces there.
What was not really good was that Amy was wearing some uncomfortable shoes and so we were at the back of the group trying to hurry as faster as we could. However, it was fun though, there were water jets and I told Amy: "Oh, look, sapitos", and Agustin said: "No, they are chorros de agua", so Amy interfered saying, "They are sapitos". After a silly discussion Amy and me made a coreography saying: "Sapitooo-oh, sapitooo, sapitooo-oh, imposible no comertelo!" Kinda weird, but funny anyway.
What I really liked was the Field museum, in which there were lots of rooms to visit. When we about to get inside Amy told Agustin and me: "Guys, I'm so happy to be here with you, I love you", and hugged us. It felt really nice to hear that, because I feel the same, I can't believe I am in United States with ones of my best friends. Inside the museum, we could go by ourselves, or with friends (I spent most of the time with Amy inside) to any room we wanted to go, we had a map, and, mom and dad let me say, I didn't got lost!!
The first room we got inside was the bioluminescent room, in which we could see some sea animals with colorful lights inside, it felt like travelling to another planet, and the music made you set on the sea scene so well.
The next room we visited was the gems room. There we could see tons of gemstones such as diamonds, sapphires, topazes, amethysts, with Amy we just said how nice they where, but not so much, our faces could speak better than our words.
Then we had some quick looks at the other rooms because we didn't want to spend a lot of time in each of them, so we could see better the ones we were interested in.
When we reached school we had free lunch, I got some chicken wraps, which tasted really good, maybe tomorrow I'm having the same thing.
I really missed Kara during the morning! When we were back home some minutes later Amy and Caro came home and helped Kara with her English class. There was also Mia, Kara's sister, who's fifteen like ma, and we tried to teach her how to pronounce the "R" in Spanish, and she couldn't! It was funny, we had really funny talks, we showed them the guys we like in Argentina and they showed us the guys they like here in Chicago. Speechless, I prefer not to reveal.
An hour later Toby and her host Margaret, whose nickname is Maggie and accidentally the first day I called her "MaRggie", arrived to Kara's house, and we played "Just Dance" and "Just Sing" with some microphones in the basement, which is like a big room dowstairs, which has a big T.V with a sofa in front of it,  a table, we all get there if we are going to someone's house. We had a great time there.
Our plans for the night where to got to Kitchen Fried Chicken, in which I wanted to have a salad but there were no salads...
Then we go to the kartings, which were some small toy cars in which you get inside and run a race, but I didn't want to play, so I waited and just cheer the ones who where there, however, it was fun anyway.
Finally, we went to Marty's house, Lucas' host, he is a sophomore, which means he is the same age as us. We made a "Harlem Shake" there, it was really fun.
So, to end today's blog, I would like to say that everything is going great right here, no worries, just fun.

DIA CUATRO

DAY THREE!!
What a loooong (but amazing!!) day! Kara took me to school in her car as she always does, in which she takes her sister, Mia, which is my age and she's very sweet and funny and fetches her neighbor Sam who's a junior.
First we went to the breakfast all the Chicago-Argentina community and some teachers. There we had lots of food to eat, from scrambled eggs, bacon, meat, waffles, to a great variety of fruits, it was like a lunch or a dinner, my stomach got full very fast.
After that we had to talk about our first impressions on our families here, we took a picture and our hosts gave us some presents: two T-shirts, a key-chain, a water flask, and a backpack which had the Marist logo, they were really cool.
At school all the students were staring at us. I met Teresa, a girl who came to Argentina in April and I was happy to see her again.
The first class we had was the ceramic class, in which students make vases or little jars with that strange wheel that I only saw in movies. In the second class Kara had to help the junior Spanish teacher and I help her to paint the Ecuador flag. It was really funny how guys pronounce Spanish words, some of them came to me and said "Holla, comou estass" pronouncing some letters in a strange way, it was really fun.
After the Spanish class we had lunch, in which I met some guys there, they were all nice. Then we had Maths class, my favourite class, (just kidding, I almost fell asleep). Kara told me she tried to participate so the teacher thinks she is paying attention and is interested in the class, I do the same thing in Argentina.
After the awesome Maths class we had Biology, in which the guys clapped to me, they were awesome, all of them are seventeen, so I am like a little girl for them. The next class we had was the Spanish class, in which Kara shares the class with Lauren, the other Cami's host. In that class we introduced ourselves in Spanish and watch a video some guys prepared, we couldn't stop laughing, it was very entertaining,
The last class was the Physiology class, which I found it very interesting, the teacher was really good. He explained how someone's mood could change so easily and how can people turn into another person in one second. Another thing he did was to hold a bottle and explain who people could see it in different points of view, for example, he put it on the table and said "oh, what a nice flower vase!", and instantly he made his voice turn deeper and pretend he was doing some gym with the bottle, it was funny and interesting at the same way.
We had lunch at six o' clock (yes, six o'clock), I shared some buffalo wings with Barbi and we felt we were about to explode because of how much food we had ate. After dinner we went to Hanna's house, Hanna is Coco's host, she is really nice, as all the guys and girls here are. I had SOOOO much fun there!! We ate some delicious cookies, we played "Just Dance" at the Wii, which made me burst of laughter. The funniest thing was to teach them how to dance "Cumbia", we got all in a circle and the U.S guys started to imitate us. But they also taught us some dance!! The girls showed us how to "shake butts" making some pirouettes. I got to know all the hosts there, and I can say they are all kind, funny and sweet.
This day had been excellent as the two days before, I am having a lot of fun here, Kara is a great person as well as her whole family, I hope they are also having fun with me here as I do.

Chicagooo!!!
FIRST DAY
I don't know where to start. In the first flight I was alone next to a man who was really kind. Most of the trip the only thing I did was to watch through the window. The flight lasted nine hours and I just slept like one or two, but didn't get tired. I was really scared, I was always praying and thinking, will I be alive for the next hour? I'm crazy I know.
And talking about crazy things, my mother is a friend of a stewardess who lives in Peru so the captain came to talk to me before the plan started to fly. After having dinner, a stewardess came to me and told me: "are you Camila Cerutti?" I said yes and she told me to take my things and go with her. I asked her if something wrong was going on and she said no.
She took me to a room next to the first class area and a man and a woman said hi and gave me an ice cream and a pijama just because my mom was the stewardess' friend. We talked about my fifteen party, my plans for the future, the woman's daughter is a writer and I am really interested in writing stuff so the talk was really interesting.
When we reach United States and had to show our passport and permission I got really scared. A man, holding my permission asked me what was it and I just answered "my permission" in a whisper. Then he asked me why am I going to the United States, and, as Leandro told us before, I answer that the idea was to visit friends. I had to tell him we were fourteen and three leaders and he asked me "so the fourteen are staying in a friend house, huh?" and I answered that we were staying in different friends houses.
At Miami I really couldn't believe I was there with my friends. That was really strange but awesome at the same time for me.
Then we took the second plane and I was lucky, I was sitting next to Barbi and Consu. That was good luck. But I fall asleep most of the time there. When I was watching through the window the houses looked like architectural models and I felt like a giant inside the plane.
Later, a school bus, the typical yellow school bus in movies took us to the school, where there were our families!!!
I was one of the first ones to get outside the bus, and a blonde girl smiling said "hii!" euphorically and I knew she was Kara. There she was, with her parents and her sister who is my age, they all hugged me, carried my suitcase inside the car take me to visit her grandmother who was with Amy, another sister who was studying at the university. After that we went for some pizza, I was really nervous inside the car, but the whole family is really nice so there was any problem.
Then we went home, the house is really nice, my bedroom is big and I have it for my own. They have a little poodle, very similar to my poodle in Buenos Aires called Popis, her name is Roxy and she is the same age as Popis.
After organizing myself inside we went to a hockey match. It was an ice hockey rink where we were! I met other hosts such as Agustin's, Lucas', Tobi's, and I already knew Barbi's and Amy's hosts. As Kara drives, which is amazing, she took me to Portillo's, a restaurant, where we arrange to meet with Amy, Barbi, Tobi and their hosts. I had a caesar salad for dinner, which was really good but kinda big and felt it was enough.
When we reach home I had a shower and go to bed.
SECOND DAY
I had soooo much fun today!!! We went shopping!!!! That was really awesome, I got lots of things, I was holding bags and bags, which was really fun. I got things for my family, I entered to the stores thinking of them and just buying things for them only using the credit card. I got also things for me, a college jacket which was sooo perfect for me! I just loved it. Then I got some toys, they were so cute that I couldn't not buy them. I went inside DC and started to try T-shirts for my brother, I looked really weird in front of the people, but never matter. We had lunch at Subway, I wasn't really hungry but it was OK. All the guys are really nice here.
When we went inside the candy store it felt like paradise. Lots of strange candies, that was what all my life I was dreaming of. And I bought some candies which I am going to resist, and don't eat them so I can take them to Buenos Aires and let my family try them. I am a good person, I know.
After shopping we went to a school football match, and it finished 3-3, it wasn't what everyone wanted, but it wasn't bad either. We had dinner at school, some pizzas and cookies, which taste really good.
Finally we reached home, Kara drove us to home, and that was it. I am really happy and having a great time. Tomorrow we are having a breakfast with our hosts at school, can't wait.

Chicagooo !
Simplemente me encantó .
